Party on Block 18 next Saturday, September 29th!

Just sent out a newsletter with deets for next week’s block party! Have a great weekend, everyone!

Hey Party People,

T-minus 8 days until the third biennial 18th Street Block Party! From 12-6p on Saturday, September 29th, 18th Street will be closed off between Guerrero and Dolores so the neighborhood food businesses like Bi-Rite, Delfina, and more can take over and feed your gullets (and raise money for six local nonprofit groups). And, yes, there will be alcohol and a “garden” in which to drink it. Buy your food & beverage tickets online here or come by P+P to pick up a booklet (10 tickets for $20). I’ll be representing P+P at the block party, but more on that in a bit.

Wanted: Volunteers and Pie Bakers

The Block Party is still in need of volunteers, so if you’re available to help out and want to pitch in, please email partyblock18@gmail.com. We have AM and PM shifts available, and you are promised plenty of good food to make it worth your while. Help us schlep! Please.

And if schlepping is not your thing, have you thought about entering the pie contest? It’s $20 to enter and all pie contest proceeds will be donated to The Women’s Building, Buen Dia, 826 Valencia, 18 Reasons, Nextcourse and the Holy Family Day Home. The prize? Glory, fame, and good karma (value: priceless). Do it! Direct any questions to partyblock18@gmail.com.

Pot + Pantry + POB18

I’m so happy that even though Pot + Pantry is a non-food, 18th Street-adjacent business, we’ll have a presence at the Block Party. Keep an eye out for us halfway down the block selling some cool new posters, exclusive to P+P! In addition to our window posters, we’ll be selling these one-color limited edition silkscreened posters by Boon Design for Pot + Pantry. Each poster is 18×24 inches, printed by the acclaimed Nat at Bloom Press. It’s a snazzy and modern way to decorate your kitchen.

The super talented Anna Hurley has also made limited edition posters just for P+P. Two-color silkscreened 18×24 inch posters, also printed by Bloom Press. So adorable, so hilarious. Can you stand it?

These will be available online soon.

So, in sum: Ain’t no party like a Block 18 party, cuz a Block 18 party don’t stop. See you there!

xo,

Donna
